Quality Care Reimagined

Birch Point was founded with a simple goal: to bring primary care back to its roots.

Once, the patient and provider relationship was holistic and thorough. The quintessential town doctor with their black bag would make house calls to see their patients. These providers knew that health was about more than checking boxes on a computer. They knew the power of a therapeutic, neighborly relationship.

In the modern era insurance companies and managed care have fundamentally changed that relationship. From 30, to 20, to 15 minute appointments, providers no longer have the privilege of getting to know their patients. Sick visits are being scheduled for a week or two out, when you are sick today!

At the same time, medicine has become vastly more complex. Many patients deal with several concomitant diagnoses, each with their own individual specialist. It has never been more important to have a primary care provider to keep an eye on the big picture.

This is where Birch Point Healthcare stands out; with small patient panels your provider can give you and your unique story the attention you deserve. Once again you can have a provider who truly knows, and cares, for you. This is reflected in the transparent pricing, direct contact with your provider, and same or next day appointments and as needed in-home visits at no extra charge.

  1. See a different provider most visits

  2. No idea how much a visit will cost until you get charged after the visit

  3. Added charges for services such as COVID or Flu testing

  4. Call for a sick visit and get offered an appointment 1-2 weeks out

  5. Your provider has 1,200 to 3,000 patients.

  6. You have to leave a voicemail or send a portal message to the administrative staff, who gives it to the nursing staff who may or may not relay it to the provider and then send a portal message back with no opportunity for a conversation about your concern.

  7. 15 minute appointment after waiting 2 weeks to get in to see the provider

  8. You see your provider and then go to a pharmacy for your medications or a lab for your lab draw.
